About Me
I am a professionally qualified counsellor, trained in the Humanistic Gestalt model.
Gestalt practitioners help people to focus on their immediate thoughts, feelings and behaviour and enable them to better understand the way that they relate to others. This increased awareness can help people to find a new perspective, see the bigger picture and start to effect changes.
Gestalt therapeutic work has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of issues such as anxiety, stress, addiction, and depression, through short or long term therapy. At times of difficulty, Gestalt offers people a safe, supportive space to explore difficult feelings, to understand the underlying patterns in relationships, or patterns of behaviour from the past, to enable them to begin to make changes.
As well as having a private practice I also work as a Trauma Therapist supporting victims of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.
